 An autobiography is the history of a person's life written or told by that person.
A self-portrait is a portrait of oneself done by oneself.

An autobiography and a self-portrait - where you get the chance to tell your own story.

Autobiography and self-portrait are different in ways for example, self-portraits are usually simply to confront the camera with  little or nothing else in the picture.  You can reveal as much or as little as you want of your life. Autobiography is expressed with words and text, for example books and novels.
